USER: Hey thunk how's it going? This phone's acting up on me and I want to power it down and restart it but I can't figure out how to do it I hold the power button down it doesn't give me the option to power down or restart

ASSISTANT: Hey David — going fine here, thanks for asking 😊

On your BLU phone (Android), sometimes holding the power button alone just launches the Google Assistant instead of giving you restart/shutdown. Here are the usual ways to fully power it down:

**Option 1: Power + Volume Up/Down**
- Press and hold **Power + Volume Up** (or try Power + Volume Down) together for a few seconds.
- That usually forces the shutdown/restart menu to appear.

**Option 2: Power menu from Quick Settings**
- Swipe down from the top of the screen **twice** to open the full Quick Settings panel.
- You should see a little **power icon** (circle with a line at the top) — tap it to get shutdown/restart.

**Option 3: Hard restart (if frozen)**
- If nothing responds, hold the **Power button down for about 10–20 seconds**.
- That forces the phone to turn off completely and then restart.

👉 Quick check for you: when you press and hold just the power button, does it bring up Google Assistant instead of power options, or does nothing happen at all?
