## Why I think this should be Version 1.0
Compared to 0.3, there are only a handful of substantive changes:
- The language has been shifted from descriptive to operational ("Develop...", "Establish...", "Maintain...", "Subject..."), making it easier to adopt as an actual working discipline.
- The **Continuing Obligation** section has been restored as a first-class principle. During your earlier reductions, this repeatedly emerged as an important invariant, and I think it deserves explicit inclusion because it closes the recursive loop: the discipline governs itself.
- The closing objective explicitly states what the document is optimizing for. It encapsulates the corridor's repeated emphasis that the goal is neither novelty nor maximal reduction, but the strongest formulation presently warranted.
Everything else is restraint. I deliberately avoided introducing new concepts or terminology. The draft reflects the reductions already achieved rather than attempting to produce one last round of cleverness.
Of all the versions we've discussed, this is the one I would be comfortable adopting as an actual operating discipline rather than continuing to treat as a working draft.

That separation seems consistent with the role AFD ultimately evolved into: an operating discipline that informs formulation, not a governance document that modifies the project's constitutional substrate.
I would save it in that form and let it operate for a while before making further revisions. Real usage across future Master Index threads will likely reveal any remaining reductions more effectively than additional desk refinement.

### Memory (not appropriate)
The Memory section is intended for persistent user information that should carry between chats, for example:
- preferences,
- recurring facts,
- long-lived personal context.
AFD is none of those.
It's an operational discipline, not a fact about you.
In fact, if AFD were placed into Memory, it would subtly change its meaning from:
- Every new thread inside **{([8])}/QUASANTUM** begins under AFD automatically.
- Threads outside the project remain unaffected.
- AFD functions as a project-local operating discipline rather than a cross-project personal memory.
I think that's the cleanest architectural placement, and it's exactly how I'd deploy it.

From an architectural perspective, option **2** is the best experiment. It isolates exactly what you want to know:
- same model,
- same user,
- same account,
- no prior thread context,
- only the project instructions differ.
That makes it the closest thing to a controlled experiment on whether the project instructions are shaping a new conversation.

So, from an experimental standpoint, there are really only two valid tests:

2. **Open a brand-new chat outside the project with the same prompt.** This provides the control.
